The Flesh Tearers are a Second Founding chapter created when the Blood Angels legion was divided after the Horus Heresy. The Flesh Tearers are ill-famed for their savageness and thirst for blood in battle. They too suffer from the mutation that leads to the Black Rage, but are even more prone to its effects than other successor chapters with Blood Angels gene-seed. Much reduced in strength, only four full companies remain and if no cure is found the chapter is likely to be extinct within the next two millennia.
